Glastonbury Festival 2019

Glastonbury Festival in Somerset as Control Room Manager:
After the much needed ‘fallow’ year I returned in June 2019 to provide event support for 12 days at the incredible Glastonbury festival, covering the offsite traffic areas from within the Event Control Room – setting up the control room with equipment, maps and information, monitoring and responding to radio communications and recording activity on a joint log, liaising with multiple organisations within strict operational parameters for a vast area with complex requirements and restrictions to accommodate over 40,000 vehicles across the 900 acre festival site (phew!).

I also provided pre-event admin for six months: scheduling a team of 60 volunteers, pre-meeting prep and taking minutes for the TWG (Traffic working Group), editing and formatting TTRO (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) and TMP (Traffic Management Plan) documents and raising contractor purchase orders.
